Orders¶
For users and managers.
After you approve a magazine or a print piece, it becomes an order. This list is where you see those jobs and what has happened to them.
Open your orders¶
Open Orders from the menu. It opens on approved jobs — the ones that have gone through Approve.
Buttons along the top switch the view:
| View | What is in it |
|---|---|
| Show Pending | Jobs that are saved but not yet approved |
| Show Approved | Jobs you have approved and that are with the printer |
| Show Printed | Jobs the printer has finished |
| Show Dispatched | Jobs that have left the printer |
Each row shows the job name, type, quantity, your comment, status, date, and who placed it.
Approve first¶
The usual place to approve is the Print Editor, after you have walked the pages:
- Finish the magazine or product in the editor.
- Click Order.
- Click Approve in that window.
The job then moves from Pending to Approved here.
You will also see an Approve button on rows in Show Pending. It does the same thing without opening the editor — use it only when you have already checked the proof.
What you can do on a row¶
| Control | When | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| × | Pending | Cancels the job. It is hidden from the list, not deleted. |
| Unapprove (managers) | Approved, not yet printed | Returns the job to Pending so you can change it and approve again. |
| ✉ | Approved or later | E-mails the job. |
| Publish | Approved or later, on products your office has set up with an online edition | Publishes the online version (the flipbook people open from a link or QR). Magazine opens appear on Statistics → Magazines. |
| Proof / Print / Print Trim | Approved or later, when your office has the download option | Downloads the PDF. The label tells you which version your office is set up to receive. |
If you do not see a download button, your office has not asked for that option. See Office options.
You do not need to mark jobs as Printed or Dispatched yourself unless your office has asked you to.
