Print Editor

For users and managers.

This is where you review a magazine or a print product before you approve it. You move photos, change which listings are in a booklet, walk the pages, then approve from Order.

Open the editor

You usually arrive here after you duplicate a magazine from the Magazines list (name, quantity, date, and office are set in that window — Date starts as today and you can still change it), or after you Duplicate / Create Order on a listing’s Order tab.

Magazines open ready to click the pages. This is not a full design program. For a magazine, the usual job is: details already saved on Duplicate, Reload the latest listings, walk the pages, then approve. You do not build a booklet from a blank template here. Use Pages on the right to jump around the booklet. The editor preview is not the final print file — approving still happens under Order.

Reload listings (magazines)

The purple Reload button is on the right-hand side. It is not a browser refresh.

It opens a small window with three named choices at the top. Click the name you want (Reload All, Remove, or Add), then use the action at the bottom. The name at the top does not run the job by itself.

Choice What it does
Reload All Rebuilds the booklet from listings currently marked for the magazine. Use this after you have changed many Mag ticks.
− Remove Property Takes one listing out of this booklet without rebuilding everything.
+ Add Property Adds listings that are marked for the magazine but are not in this booklet yet. You can search.

You will see how many listings are in the booklet. Cancel leaves things as they were.

After you reload, add, or remove, walk the pages again. Preview and page thumbs update when the draft is ready.

Unticking Mag only changes the next Reload All. It does not take a listing out of the booklet you have open. For one listing in this booklet, − Remove Property is enough.

Some offices have Hold Mag on the right-hand rail (Hold on / Hold off). Magazines start unlocked. Turn Hold on so listings already in this booklet stay on the pages after they leave the feed. Reload All still rebuilds from active Mag ticks.

The bold line under the photos (address, suburb or city, price, agent, phone) is built from the listing Details tab. Fix it on the listing, then Reload this booklet. You do not type that line on the page.

Listing paragraphs on some magazine pages (especially layouts with several listings to a page) come from the listing Copy tab — Short Copy, Copy 4, Copy 5, or Copy 6, whichever that page type uses. Change the text on the listing, then Reload. You do not type those paragraphs on the magazine page.

Pages

The orange Pages tool is on the right.

It shows spread thumbnails so you can jump around the booklet. That is navigation — it does not change the structure.

On a magazine, jumping a middle spread keeps the Pages rail and tools where they are and only reloads that spread. Cover, back cover, and Single Page still load the whole editor. Brochures are unchanged.

Pages keeps the last current thumbs while you walk the book so the rail does not flash. A page that is still updating stays blank until that page is current — the rest of the thumbs stay put. You will not see an old picture for a page that has changed.

If Hold Mag is on for this booklet, a sold, withdrawn, or off-feed listing can show a red outline and a light red wash (so you can still see the picture) on the Pages rail, and a red outline on that listing’s cell on the page. Those marks are editor-only — they do not go into the print PDF. Use − Remove Property or Reload All when you want that listing out.

You want to… Use
Jump to a spread Pages
Flip through the draft Pages or the page numbers along the top. The ◀ ▶ arrows move one page in Single Page view, or one spread (two pages) in Double Page view
Change a page type or which listing is on it Edit (Content)

On magazines you will also see Fillers and Props (the listings in this booklet) on the same rail. Props opens at once and shows Building property list now… while the list is prepared — useful on large booklets. Some offices have Enhanced FillersSpan columns sets how wide the ad is, Span rows sets how tall (one row = one listing row). Bleed lets the artwork run off the edge of the page. Inset / gap pulls it in: Right is the gap before the sidebar, Bottom is the gap above the first listing row. Other offices place artwork on a page and line only. See Office options.

Edit (Content)

On a magazine, Edit opens Content on top of the editor. You stay on the page.

Use it to add or remove sections, choose a page type, and pick which listing sits on a page. Save when you are done.

Reload and listing flags stay on the editor buttons. Managers may also see Order details inside Content. There they can set Status from Pending to Cancelled and Save — that hides the booklet from the Magazines list (it is not deleted). Everyone else approves from the green Order button.

Order and Approve

The green Order button opens the job details.

Approve is inside that window for a job that is still pending. It is not a separate button on the top bar.

Approve prints the booklet you see in the editor preview — the same listings and the same page count. A sold listing that is not on those pages does not appear in the approved PDF. Print (proof PDF) and Approve use the same listing rules.

If your office has Hold Mag and Hold is on for this booklet, listings already on the pages stay there after they sell or leave the feed. That is the only time a sold listing stays on a type page.

What you have open What you will usually see
Brochure or board Quantity and job number may be locked; you can add a comment; Approve is in the window
Magazine More fields you can edit
Already approved Status and a link to the order — no Approve

If you cannot find Approve, open Order.

Brochures and QR codes

When you preview or print a property brochure or a bundle (for example an A4 plus a Just Listed DL), each piece gets its own QR.

  • Magazines keep the listing QR from the property
  • Each brochure in the pack has a unique QR
  • Printing the same brochure again uses the same QR — it does not create a new one

Those scans appear on Statistics → Campaigns. See Statistics and reports.

Listing copy

Click the heading or body text on a brochure or magazine page to open that listing’s Copy tab. The red You are editing bar is the way out — Close returns you to the page. The top menu (Home, Properties, Magazines, and the rest) is hidden in that window so you stay on the listing. That covers Long, Short, Extra (the short heading and body on some brochure layouts), Copy 4–6, and feature copy when the layout uses them. The pointer cursor on those words means they will open Copy — on some brochures the agent column sits over that area; click the words themselves.

Save on the listing. On a brochure the editor reloads when you close the window. On a magazine list page, use purple Reload after you change the wording.

You can still open Copy from the listing if you prefer.

Photos, cover-all, and banners

Move a photo

Click a listing photo to swap it, zoom, and pan. Save when it looks right.

If your agents use the MRE Agent phone app, every Save here reaches the app on its own. The next time the agent opens that brochure the app shows Preview rendering… for a few seconds and then the updated proof. If they already had it open, they pull down to refresh.

When the agent taps Edit on that brochure, each photo opens at the zoom and position you saved here, so what they adjust starts from what the proof shows. A photo the agent has already zoomed in the app keeps the agent's crop. Floorplan areas that the layout fits by height open at the app's default view.

On layouts with one large photo and smaller photos beside it, you may see Use this image to cover all image areas. Tick and save to let the main photo fill the whole picture area. Single-photo layouts will not show this.

Banners

Sold, Under Offer, Auction, New Listing, Open, and similar banners sit on the listing block. Your agency decides which banners you may use. After you change a banner, refresh the preview.

Some offices can also request AI Watermark Removal, AI Image Categorisation, and AI Image Position on listing photos — possible paid options. See Office options.

Take a listing out of the booklet

  • Untick Mag, then Reload All if many listings changed, or
  • − Remove Property for one listing in the open booklet

A typical magazine pass

After you have duplicated, renamed, and dated the edition:

  1. Reload All so the booklet has the latest Mag-ticked listings.
  2. Walk the spreads. Use Pages or the page numbers along the top to jump.
  3. Fix photos and wording. Use Edit only if a page type or listing slot is wrong.
  4. Order → Approve when you are ready.

For a board or single brochure, review the proof, adjust the photo or banner, then Order → Approve.

If something looks wrong

“Reload only changes photos” Use the purple Reload window — it changes which listings are in the booklet
Edit took you away from the editor Use Edit on the toolbar — Content should open on top
Approve is missing Open Order — Approve is in that window
Want to hide a magazine Managers: Edit → Order details → Status → Cancelled → Save. The list hides it; it is not deleted
The editor preview is not the print file That is expected. Approve produces the job
Pages vs Content Pages jumps; Content changes structure
Cover-all is missing The layout may be a single photo, or you clicked a small slot
Photo will not select Click the main listing photo
Preview still looks old Save the photo panel, then open preview again
Listing paragraph is missing Click the wording on the page, or change Short Copy / Copy 4–6 on the listing Copy tab, then purple Reload on a magazine
Copy text does not open a window Click the heading or paragraph itself (not the address line). The pointer cursor means Copy will open. Extra copy on brochures uses the same click
Red row or red Pages outline That listing is sold, withdrawn, or off-feed but still Mag-ticked. Untick Mag to release it. The outline does not print
